The “challenge” of Chianti

Sfida Rivali Quanto Bastaby Marco Marucelli

The taste, unconditional arbitrator of challenge “Rivals that suffice” has virtually declared a state of great balance. In fact for the jury the winner was the Florentine territory for some products, and the Siena territory for others, while the jury made up of four journalists and professionals in the world of tourism, has crowned the first. The hard palates of the guests, judges and experts was really great. Obviously not a physical effort, rather a pleasure, given the extreme quality of products led challengers competing. The taste reigned supreme at all times.

Of note among the many aspects that have influenced the perfect performance of the evening some important factors. First, the location of the event, The Clubhouse of Florence, new concept restaurant, pizzeria, cocktail bar, cafeteria with room set aside for the occasion, gave a major footprint at the same time "suited" the race ... the large kitchen windows of the premises from which the chefs and kitchen staff viewing the race, made a perfect background. The perfect synchronicity and harmony in the conduct of the race by the designers, wine-journalists Alessandra Ruggi and Marucelli Marco, who were able during the various phases of the meeting useful news and necessary information to technical jury and people. Before the evening was also inaugurated a photo exhibition by Gaetano Alfano will remain visible for a month.

The products were selected and brought to "combat" have satisfied all the senses. Starting with extra virgin olive oil submitted by the Company. Farm Viticcio of Greve in Chianti, which competed against the company. Farm Castel of St. Donato in Perano of Gaiole in Chianti, the first plates made by the kitchen staff at The Clubhouse, which was brought against the Chiantigiana Penne noodles with meat sauce 'wild boar. Not to mention the cheese that first saw the delicious goat's milk cheese at the company. Podere Farm furnaces Greve against sheep Dairy Brothers Corbeddu of Castelnuovo Berardenga. For meats the challenge took place between “finocchiona” and salami and classic Chianti put into table "Ancient Falorni Butcher of Greve in Chianti who got the better of tuna and fennel Cotta House Porciatti Radda in Radda in Chianti. How to end the culinary delights that have consolidated the trend assessments. On the one hand biscuits St. Casciano oven Ancient Dolce Forneria St. Casciano Val di Pesa which has fought for the podium intriguing rock cake Pastry Lodi Pasini Castelnuovo Berardenga that competed for the Chianti region.

The wines that accompanied the various dishes and have enhanced the evening were those of the company. Farm Viticcio Greve in Chianti and Florence as part of the company. The farm Castello of St. Donato in Perano Gaiole in Chianti Siena lands. The room service was commendable and so smells and tastes you have reached the end of the evening with the usual photo that had players in addition to various producers also present the jury: Laura Gensini, art historian and tour operator for cultural and Sunny California, Gherardo Noferi, communications expert and Nicoletta Curradi Promotion of Tuscany, a journalist specializing in artistic, cultural and gastronomic. The Chair of the jury has been entrusted to Costanza Giovannini, of System Foundation Toscana.

The satisfaction of the guests, the jury was present and producers really great especially because, as expected, the real protagonist is the taste for good things for the products of tradition ... as the land of Tuscany can offer every corner. The promise was to find the next "challenge" to cheer one of the two ensembles, enact the various winners, subject to one rule: Rival ... but only in the commitment to grow in respect of quality, taste and tradition in short ... enough to be unique!
