"Symbols and Myths"
Two images dedicated to the art. The first refers to the exhibition of the Turkish painter, Irem Incedayi, inaugurated in Rome at the Cultural Office of the Turkey Embassy. Theme is the fusion of the East and West art, along an imaginary 'Silk Road'. In his paintings take shape 'myths' were born on opposite sides of the Mediterranean, interweaving the calligraphy and oriental motifs, rich in symbolism, to the technique of the ancient Roman frescoes.
The second one refers to the code of Ildefonso Toletano, a masterpiece of miniature, produced in the French Abbey of Cluny in 1000 A.D. where, from June 29, will again be admired by the general public. Recently, during the Culture Week, it was possible to restore it and submit a specimen, complete of the studies by Neil Stratford, curator of medieval collections at the British Museum, in the Biblioteca Palatina of Parma.
